Local Law 152 is a compliance regulation in NYC requiring the periodic inspection of gas piping systems. Inspections are required every 4 years.
All NYC buildings with the exception of one and two family homes are required to undergo a gas piping LL152 inspection by a NYC Licensed Master Plumber. Buildings classified in Occupancy Group R-3 do not need to complete the Local Law 152 inspection. Building Code Occupancy Group R-3 corresponds to the following DOF Classification Codes: A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9, B1, B2, B3, B9, M3, M4, N2.
Due dates for this completed inspection are based on Community districts. See the chart below from the NYC DOB Service Notice.
